EchoBolt was recently engaged by SSE Renewables during a pitch bearing replacement campaign to measure bolt preload in the outgoing blade connections to provide insight into bolt preload.  On the reassembly, bolt preload measurement has been used to ensure high quality joint assembly eliminating the risk of maintenance induced failures.
