Rampion Offshore Wind Technicians Complete BoltWave™ Training

The EchoBolt team is proud to announce the successful delivery of comprehensive BoltWave™ ultrasonic bolt inspection training to the technician team at Rampion Offshore Wind Farm.
Located off the south coast of England, the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm plays a critical role in the UK’s renewable energy landscape. Ensuring the structural integrity and reliability of turbine bolt connections is a key part of maintaining long-term performance offshore — and EchoBolt’s BoltWave™ solution is designed to make that process faster, smarter, and safer.
Over the course of the training program, Rampion technicians gained hands-on experience with the BoltWave™ ultrasonic inspection device and integrated software workflow. The training covered:
Accurate measurement of bolt elongation and preload
Best practices for offshore application and repeatability
Data capture and reporting workflows using BoltWave™ and BoltWatch™
Inspection planning for preventive vs. reactive maintenance
By transitioning from torque-based tightening and periodic manual checks to data-driven ultrasonic inspection, teams can significantly reduce the maintenance burden associated with turbine bolt connections. For Rampion, this translates into:
